Meet The Founder

Ana Leal

CEO & Founder

I started I Love Chamoy because my dad was diagnosed with diabetes and had to give up one of his favorite things, Mexican candy! I didn’t want him to miss out, so I set out to create a version that tasted just like the traditional chamoy and candies we grew up with, but without sugar, artificial dyes, or anything that would compromise his health. What started as something for my dad has now grown into a way to share nostalgic Mexican flavors with anyone who wants a guilt-free option.

I’ve learned that building an online store is about so much more than just selling a product, it’s about creating an experience and a community. When I launched I Love Chamoy, eCommerce gave me the chance to connect directly with customers, hear their feedback, and build a loyal following before we ever hit retail shelves.

My daughter, Federica—nicknamed “Pipa”—is my greatest inspiration. She struggled to find products that were safe and made for her age, and that gap in the market is what sparked this entire journey. She reminds me every day why I started.

Annie Leal is the founder and visionary behind I Love Chamoy, a fast-growing Mexican condiment and candy brand best known for its sugar-free chamoy sauce inspired by her family roots and health journey. Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Annie built the company after seeking a way for her diabetic father to enjoy beloved Mexican flavors without compromising his health — developing a monk fruit-sweetened chamoy that quickly resonated with families and food lovers nationwide.

Leveraging her background in social media production and content creation, Annie turned I Love Chamoy from a kitchen experiment into a cultural phenomenon — selling out initial runs, winning H-E-B’s Quest for Texas Best competition, and generating millions in organic sales driven by community and viral engagement.

Her brand has been featured on Shark Tank and has expanded distribution both online and in retail stores, celebrating Mexican heritage while making beloved flavors more accessible and healthier for diverse audiences.
